I keep coming back to the idea of community.
I think about it as points where we come together in the right ways
and sometimes in the wrong ways.
From what I understand,
We live in some kind of in-between space
Where our range of experiences and interactions fluctuate between
First-hand, second-hand, third-hand, fourth-hand,
Forever.
Our interactions and the devices that facilitate them
have been recycled indefinitely
And may encompass a variety of meanings.
I see an artwork as something that can create a moment of community.
It is a medium that can allow us to share the same space.
The same fascination and the same wonder.
It can offer an exchange in aesthetic values.
It is decision-making.
It is shared experiences and outright disagreements.
This space is somewhere to show generosity.
This space is somewhere to communicate and commune.
Somehow this seems more interesting
than the thing I’m supposed to be talking about.
